I did roll back my system with Time Machine since I figured that whatever causes the problem wasn’t related to my old installation but rather to a hardware incompatibility of some sort… right? I even removed my soft e-licenser, reinstalled ecc and unplugged ilok and other USB devices.Ĭubase 8.5 work also did not work right after a fresh reinstall with nothing but the RME drivers installed. repaired permissions with onyx and cleanmymac. Tried removing VST Connect SE and Pro bundles from the app package and preference folders, removed HAL folders, tried trashing prefs, got no folder tool x installed, tried reinstalling Cubase and all the safe start options. When I remove all VSTs from the Plug-In folder, Cubase will still crash when scanning internal VST components. ![]() Using a 2010 Mac Pro, Cubase Pro 8.5 will crash at some point during or after the initial VST Plug-In Scan. I upgraded my Cubase Pro to 8.5 after a late upgrade to El Capitan.
